Norman Duane Raikes of Plainfield

Norman Duane Raikes of Plainfield died Dec. 19 in his residence. He was 82.

Born in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth Raikes. He married Kaye A. Raikes and she survives.

Mr. Raikes owned Industrial Design Engineering in Speedway for 23 years retiring in 2000.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jim (Glenda) and Gary (Lori) Raikes, Scott (Markanna) White, Carol Eckert, Patty (Cary) Dill, Debbie Dick, Cheri (Bill) Davis and Kim (Jim) Cox; brother, Paul Raikes; 16 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Raikes.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 23 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.

Visitation will start at 11 a.m. and last until time of the service in the funeral home.
