Lois Maxine Salsman of the Amo/Plainfield area died Thursday at the age of 92.

Born Sept. 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Leland and Fern Hazel Gray West. She married Woodrow W. Salsman and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Salsman was a lifetime member of the Amo United Methodist Church and played the organ and the piano there from the ages of 17 to 80. She served as church treasurer for 50 years.

She worked for many years as the head cook at Cascade High School.

She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Delta Sigma Kappa, Order of Eastern Star, and Coterie Club.

Survivors include a sister, Joanne Alexander; a son, Larry Salsman and wife Ginny; a daughter, Lou Anne Martin and husband Bill; grandchildren Stacy Pavlovsky and husband Max, Health Meliski and husband Mark, Chad Salsman and wife Beth, and Michelle Jezierski and husband Justin; and great-grandchildren Tori, Joshua, Ava, Jackson, Cooper, and C.J.

Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville. Interment will follow at Stilesville Cemetery.

Calling is for three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
