Opal Marie Warren


— Opal Marie Warren of Brownsburg died Wednesday. She was 91.

Born May 21, 1921, in Trader’s Point, she was a daughter of Walter and Hattie Delong. She was a sister to Fern “Brunes” Baker, Helen Burns, James, John, and Fred Delong.

She graduated from Pike High School in 1939, married Carl B. Warren in May of ‘41, and moved to Brownsburg in ‘48. She and Carl had five children.

Mrs. Warren enjoyed cooking and baking, working in her flower beds, sewing, and quilting. She had made each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren a handmade quilt.

She had been a member of Brownsburg Apostolic Bible Church for the past 20 years.

Survivors include a son, Jim Warren; daughters Janet Edwards and Jean Duncan; 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and another great-granddaughter due in March.

Preceding her in death were her husband; sons Don T. Warren and Bill L. Warren; and a great-grandchild, Caidyn Bugby.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Bethesda Cemetery.
