— John Edward Estes of Mooresville died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers of Indianapolis. He was 65.

Born Nov. 30, 1947, in Bedford, he was a son of the late John Estes and Lula Hubble Estes. He married Kimberly Walker Estes on April 29, 2006, in Rosedale, and she survives.

Mr. Estes worked 20 years for Santi-Serve of Mooresville.

He was a graduate of Clear Springs High School in Bedford. He attended the Rosedale United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Mooresville Post 103, Lt. Armies of Tennessee Freemans Battery, United States Field Artillery Association Loyal Artillery Chapter.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline (Marc) Estes Wertzberger of Franklin; a son, Edward Duane Estes; a brother, Ernie Estes of Norman; sisters Charlotte Howard of Norman, Chris Sheridan of Mooresville, and Thelma Stevens of Bloomington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Butch Estes, and sisters Beverly Estes and Joyce Loughmiller.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., Rosedale, with the Rev. Kim Kraemer officiating. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
