Robert L. “Bob” Adamson of Plainfield died Friday in his residence surrounded by his family. He was 72.
Born in New Richmond, Ohio, he was the son of Howard and Evelyn Johnson Adamson. He married Terry Rowland on Jan. 29, 1988, and she survives.
Mr. Adamson serviced in the U.S. Air Force and actively supported several military support groups. He worked at CSX for more than 35 years, retiring as a clerk in 2002. After retirement he worked part-time at Cummins Mental Health as a van driver. His memberships included Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Also surviving are four children, Beverly Adams (Jeff), Robert “Bobby” Adamson (Kim), Tammy Campfield (Dave), and Bradley McLaughlin (Debi); brothers Ronald Adamson (Betty) and Dan Adamson (Barb); a sister, Kathy McKinley (Richard); and grandchildren Siera Adams, Tylor, Josh, and Brittney Campfield, Sydney and Grace Adamson, Chloe and Olivia McLaughlin, and Amiya Riddle.
Services are 11 a.m. Sept. 18 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial with military rites will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. Additional visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sept. 17 in the funeral home.
