Carolyn Jean Linton

Carolyn Jean Linton of Jamestown died Tuesday in Parkwood Health Care. She was 76.

Born July 19, 1936, in Pittsboro, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Randle and Hazel (Coons) Covey. She married Raymond Clarence Linton and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Linton was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters Debbie (Debra) Sue Roetker and Donna Marie Graham (Scott Bundy); sons Randle Fred Linton and Joseph Ray (Arla) Linton; a brother, Donald Covey; a sister, Rose Hilderbrand; grandchildren, Sarah Cooke, Jason Graham, Katie Strainer, Jamee Henry, and Joshua Linton; and eight great-grandchildren.

A brother, Keith Covey, also preceded her in death.

Services are 2 p.m. June 20 at Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Jamestown, with Buddy Blanton officiating. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery. Calling is for four hours prior to services in the funeral home.
