Lyle O. Springer of Danville died March 1. He was 76.
Born April 19, 1937, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late William and Vivian (Cox) Springer. He married Patricia “Pat” (Weaver) Robinson on Jan. 1, 1985, and she survives.
Mr. Springer was a graduate of Decatur Central High School. In 1957, he graduated from the International Barber and Beauty College as a “master barber.” He had been a barber in and around Danville for 53 years, owning his own shop in Danville for many years.
He was a member of New Winchester Christian Church and served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Springer of Kodak, Tenn.; step children, Jeff Robertson of Colorado, Greg Robertson of Massachusetts, and Cyndy Cleary of New Hampshire; three grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rick Springer.
Services and visitation will be announced at a later date.
