Jasmine Aubrey Sloan of Indianapolis died Feb. 9. She was 18.
Born in Marion County, she was the daughter of Stephen Sloan of Eaton and Vanessa (Ryan) Phillips of Indianapolis.
Miss Sloan had worked at Noodles and Company as a server and cashier. She played guitar and sang. She enjoyed longboarding, art, and drawing. She was also a big movie buff.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings, Brooke Phillips of Monterey, Tenn., Jessica Amaris Wayman of Indianapolis, Vanessa Phillips of Indianapolis, Derek (Jenn) Phillips of Ft. Wayne, Joshua Ran of Indianapolis, Spencer (Kandice) Phillips of Ft. Wayne, Joel Wayman of Indianapolis, Jayse Phillips of Indianapolis; step mother, Mandy Adams Sloan of Eaton; step father, Stephen Phillips of Indianapolis; grandmother, Jacqueline Kellogg of Marion; grandfather, Richard Phillips of Redkey; grandparents, Terry and Sandy McCarty of Marion; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Sloan Jr.; grandmother, Debbie Jessie Ryan-McCarty; grandfather, Philip Kellogg; niece, Dulce Phillips; and great grandfather, Francis C. Smith.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in Lakeview Church, 47 Beachway Drive in Indianapolis with the Rev. Ryan McCarty officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 until time of service in the church.
There will also be services at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., in Marion with McCarty officiating.
Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 15 in Riverside Cemetery in Gas City.
