William 'Bill' Roby of Brownsburg

William “Bill” Roby of Brownsburg died Jan. 22. He was 84.

Born June 26, 1929, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Herbert and Lulu Dawn (Boys) Roby. He married Nancy Reed and she survives.

Mr. Roby was a graduate of Anderson High School. He was a computer crew chief for the Federal Aviation Administration for 25 years, retiring in 1981.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Clayton Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Mari Cunningham of Plainfield, Terri (Keith) Hincher of Browsburg, Nancy McKinney of Acworth, Ga., Kathy (Chuck) Young of Pomeroy, Pa., Becky (Bill) Keller of Brownsburg, Doug (Pam) Moffitt of Brownsburg, Tom Eggleton of Plainfield, John (Maureen) Eggleton of Phoenix, Pa., and Mike (Ellen) Eggleton of Plainfield; 25 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Jack) Ravage of Sequim, Wa.; and brother, Andy (Peggy) Roby of Alexandria.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 27 in Clayton Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26 and one hour prior to the service in the church.
