Rinze Joe Stapert of Avon died Friday. He was 91.
Born July 3, 1922, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late John and Tenna Stapert. He was the widower of Helen Joan Stapert.
Mr. Rinze was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked many years for Maplehurst Dairy.
He was a member of Fairfield Friends Meeting, Fraternal Order of Eagles 3207, and Fraternal Order of Police 132.
Survivors include sons Larry J. (Marsha) and Marvin L. Stapert; a daughter, Linda K. (Jeff) Mitny; a brother, Raymond Stapert; a sister, Anna Miller; a grandson, Chris Stapert; and a great-grandson, Rinze Joe Stapert II.
Preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Carey Stapert.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
