Cordelia Fay (Ratliff) Collings died Saturday. She was 80.
Born and raised in Lizton, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and May (Truax) Ratliff.
She graduated from Speedway High School, attended Indiana University, and earned a degree in education from the University of Houston.
She married John William Collings on Aug. 28, 1957, in Lizton. They moved to Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Collings was a teacher in all grades in both Indiana and Texas. She and her husband also owned Northwest Global Travel Agency in Houston.
She enjoyed art, design, clothing, baking, painting, and traveling the world. She especially enjoyed going on cruises.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Cynthia) Collings of Coldwater, Mich.; sisters Roberta (Jim) Graham of Brownsburg and Clara (Wes) Zerbe of Bloomfield, Colo.; and a brother, Charles Ratliff of Brownsburg.
Preceding her in death were brothers Lee Ratliff and Donald Ratliff, and a daughter, Corinne Collings.
A service celebrating her life is 11 a.m. Saturday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Committal of ashes will be at Lizton K of P Cemetery.
Calling is for an hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
