Robert E. Gardner

Robert E. Gardner of Danville died July 4. He was 82.

He was born May 16, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York. He married Ruth A. Gardner and she survives. They were married for 47 years.

Mr. Gardener enjoyed music, fishing, and bowling. He was a member of American Legion Post 331 in Brownsburg.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Robert and John Gardner, nephews George, James and Edward Gardner, niece Laurie Gardner, grandchildren Lawrence, Jonathan, Hanna, and Emma, four great-nephews, one great niece, and sisters-in-law Loretta Gardner and Waneta Gardner.

Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

The Neptune Society is handling the arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
