Lucein Tancrede Blackburn of Brownsburg died June 16. He was 87.
Born Feb. 24, 1927, in Alma, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Petre Blackburn and Anna Inbeau Blackburn of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada. He married Yolande Lachance on Sept. 27, 1947, in Welland, Ontario, Canada, and she survives. They were married for 67 years.
Mr. Blackburn lived in Port Colbourn, Ontario, Canada, where he worked for the cement plant until 1962. He and his wife moved their family to Glendale, Calif., where they lived from 1962 to ’92. He worked for the motion picture industry as a general foreman of props until he retired in 1989.
He and his wife lived in Bakersfield, Calif., from 1992 to 2011. They then moved to Roland Manor in Brownsburg.
Additional survivors include four sons, Roger, Yvon, Yvan, and Robert Blackburn; and daughter, Ginette (Thomas) Docktor.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. June 21 at St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the church.
