Ruriko "Cherry Blossom" Campbell

Ruriko "Cherry Blossom" Campbell of Avon died Tuesday. She was 91.

Born Oct. 27, 1921, in Tokyo, Japan, she was the daughter of Hideo and Nao Imura. She married Edwin D. Campbell and he died in 1962.

Mrs. Campbell was a quality control tester at Systron-Donner Corporation in Concord, Calif., for several years. Her memberships included First Baptist Church of Lawton, Okla., and the Gold Star Wives.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Donald E. (Scottie) Campbell of Avon; a granddaughter, Sabre Campbell of Avon; and two brothers and two sisters of Japan.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Fort Sill (Okla.) Post Cemetery. Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.
