David E. Krout of Brownsburg died Tuesday. He was 63.
Born in 1950 at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Eugene and Betty (Stevens) Krout. He married Sheela L. Smith on June 13, 1992, in Las Vegas. She survives.
Mr. Krout was a 1965 Crawfordsville High School graduate and was active in golf, track and field, and basketball. He attended Indiana University and Purdue University.
After owning and operating a dental lab in California, Mr. Krout was a sales rep for Patterson Dental. He retired this year from Henry Schein Dental. His memberships included the Indiana Dental Society.
Also surviving are a son, Charles Graf (Elizabeth) of Lizton; daughters Melissa Smith (Brock) of Brownsburg and Rebecca Bearman (Nathan) of Lizton; eight grandchildren; his father, Eugene Krout; sisters Cheryl Goble of Crawfordsville and Janie De Clerck of Rockville, Ill.; a brother, James Krout of Destin, Fla.; step-sisters Julian Gray D.D.S. and Rev. Linda Lawler; and many nieces, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Aug. 10 in Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg. David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to The First Tee (envelopes available at the church) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
