Phyllis I. Nichols

Phyllis I. Nichols of Brownsburg died Monday. She was 88.

Mrs. Nichols was a member of Mt. Tabor Primitive Baptist Church in Fayette.

Survivors include a son, Gordon (Julia) Nichols; daughters Sandra (Larry) Baumgardner and Dawnette (Dan) Bidle; a stepdaughter, Carol Vlahakis; a brother, James Watkins; a sister, Jane Burkett; grandchildren Tyler (Peggy) Baumgardner, Dwanae (Greg) Benge, Briana Bidle, Sheri (Eric) Anderson, Rodger Nichols, Jeremiah (Sophie) Nichols, and George (Donna) Vlahakis; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, E.W. Nichols.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Sparks Cemetery in Pittsboro.

Calling at the mortuary is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
