— Doris Lorraine Kasey of Brownsburg died Tuesday, following a long battle with cancer. She was 75.

Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Goshen, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Myree (Bailey) Swihart.

She was an avid gardener and an accomplished cook.

Survivors include sisters Karolyn Kern of Bristol and Naomi (Tom) Pohl of Ottawa, Ohio; her husband of 51 years, Frederick S. Kasey; children Pam Kasey (Evan Hansen), Vicki Applegate, Kraig Kasey, and Tina De La Fuente (Noe); and grandchildren Reese Hansen, Sara, Casey and Emily Applegate, and Kristen Shepherd.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Richard Swihart, and a sister, Marjorie Miller.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon. Interment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.

Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
