Myrtle F. Walker of Danville died Dec. 19, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 88.
Born April 30, 1924, in Edmonson, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dora Jaggers Gipson.
Mrs. Walker worked as a waitress for Mandy’s eastside restaurant and B&H Grill, and owned a bar in Indianapolis at one time before enjoying her retirement for the last 40 years.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, James Reif, Robert Dostin, Norbert Reif, Patty Willard, Peggy Lynch, and Barbara Golay; 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Baker Funeral Home in Danville. Inurnment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
