F. Louise Settles of Clayton died Wednesday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 88.
Born Aug. 6, 1924, in Oolitic, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Florence Elizabeth Perkins Bennett.
She worked as an administrative director and secretary for the Department of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Mrs. Settles was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Greencastle Elks Lodge No. 1077, and the Plainfield Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her children, Paula S. Leahy of Hawaii, Vonda Bennett of Indianapolis, Kenna Combs of Beech Grove, Lu Ann Yarbrough of Indianapolis, and Earl Settles II of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were husbands Paul E. Lentz and Earl L. Settles Sr.; a daughter, Linda L. Lowery; two brothers and two sisters; and a grandchild.
Services are noon Monday at Hazelwood Christian Church. Interment will follow at Clayton Cemetery.
Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the church.
