Dora E. Carr

Dora E. Carr of Danville died Sunday at Countryside Meadows. She was 91.

Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Hortonville, she was a daughter of the late Zeri E. and Hazel Etta Cloud Barker. She married Donald E. Carr and he died in 1988.

She graduated from Westfield High School in 1940, worked in a factory for many companies and also farmed throughout her lifetime.

Mrs. Carr was a member of the Avon Parkside Church of the Nazarene and volunteered many years for Hendricks County Senior Services.

Survivors include children Larry D. Poole of Brownsburg, Donna (Dave) Clark of Danville, and Patty (Tony) Maners of Danville; grandchildren Sherry (Brian) Watts, Chris Poole (Donna Chase), Christy (Monte) Sommers, Jeff (Trisha) Clark, and Kim Lagle; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Clifford.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home in Danville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
