— John H. Fisher of Plainfield died Monday. He was 94.

Born April 1, 1919, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Ira and Anna (Rypma) Fisher. He married Shirley Marley in October of 1952 and she survives.

Mr. Fisher graduated from Clayton High School and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Eli Lilly as the senior processing operator in Clinton Laboratories, retiring in 1990. After retiring, he served 15 years as a host at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church, Monrovia Masonic Lodge No. 654, and the Scottish Rite and Shrine, Indianapolis.

A nephew, Chris Fisher, also survives.

Preceding him in death was a son, John Mark Fisher.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville with the Rev. Shawn Tully officiating. Entombment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
