Leo Stroup of Danville died May 7. He was 83.
Born May 18, 1930, in Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Leo V. and Helen (Parker) Biehl. He married Marjorie Fitzwater May 29, 1952, and she survives. They were married for 62 years.
Mr. Stroup owned and operated Leo’s Barber Shop on West Washington St. in Indianapolis for 35 years, retiring in 1997. From 2000 to ’13, he was an auto driver for Adessa Auto Auction in Plainfield.
He was a member of Calvary Chapel in Danville, where his son is the pastor. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army Corp./U.S. Air Force.
Additional survivors include his sons, Gary Stroup of Apache Junction, Ariz., Gregg (Joy) Stroup of Danville, Roger (Lori) Stroup of Danville; four grandsons; one great granddaughter; and a brother, Randy E. Biehl of Rushville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. May 10 at Calvary Chapel. Private burial will take place in the New Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church.
