Marcia May (Cooprider) Liphardt of Danville died April 21 in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 70.
Born Oct. 23, 1943, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Norris and Melvina M. (Cody) Cooprider Sr. She married John Franklin Browning Liphardt Sr. and he survives.
Mrs. Liphardt graduated from Amo High School in 1961. She had been a cashier at the Kroger store in Danville for 33 years before retiring. She was known as “Marcia at Krogers.”
She was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville and the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, John F. (Michelle) Liphardt Jr. of Danville, Barbara (Denise Taylor) Liphardt of Cincinnati, Kurt Liphardt of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two foster children, Bryce and Branton; brother, Edmund (Bonnie) Cooprider of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Carol (Ralph) Williams of Lakeland, Fla., and Linda (Ed) Tekulve of Indianapolis.
A funeral mass will take place at 2 p.m. April 24 in Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville. Her remains will be buried in Florida.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service in the church.
