Robert Wayne “Bob” Skelton of Bloomington

Robert Wayne “Bob” Skelton of Bloomington died Dec. 14 at his residence. He was 59.

Born Oct. 1, 1954, in Greencastle, he was the son of the late Gerald and Martha (Keyt) Skelton. He married Marcelle LaMaster Skelton and she survives.

Mr. Skelton was the owner of A-1 Window Cleaning Services and had previously operated Excalibur Ostrich and Excalibur Leather. He was a talented craftsman and enjoyed working on his 10-acre farm.

He recently started Buena Vista Vineyard and was proud to have is first crop made into a Vidal Blanc wine by Owen Valley Winery.

He volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader from 1995 to 2008 with Troop 148 and Venture Crew 148. He took them on trips canoeing the Boundary Waters and sailing in the Florida Keys at Sea Base. He loved fishing and in May was able to realize a long held dream of catching a 100 pound Tarpon near Bahia Honda Key.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Robert Cole Skelton and his wife Amanda Burgoon Skelton of Fremont, Calif.; siblings, Sue Bufore, Mike Sells, Steve Sells, and Rita Hayes; and step father Ray Sells of Brownsburg.

Services will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 19 at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old Highway 27.

Visitation will be held from to 2 to 5 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral Home.
