Dwight Evan Patrick of Danville died Tuesday at the age of 71.
He was born on May 1, 1942, in Frankfort, to the late Lloyd and Thelma Flora Patrick.
Mr. Patrick was a Flora High School graduate in 1960. He was a retired commercial pilot. His memberships included Quiet Birdman and the BMG Car Club. He enjoyed driving his MG on several road trips and was awarded the MG Car Award. Mr. Patrick also was a volunteer at Great Lakes Hospice for the Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Madonna Carter Patrick; children, Douglas Evan Patrick and wife Pamela and Cheryl A. Lawson and husband Richard; granddaughter, Andrea Williams and husband Derek; grandsons, Brad Patrick and wife Ricci, Derek Patrick, and Trevor Patrick; great- granddaughter, Delanie Rae Williams, better known as “June Bug” by great-grandpa; sisters Debbie Thompson, Bernadine Lindsay, Marilyn Clifton, Susie Stauffer, and Jeanie Larson; and brothers, Dan Patrick and wife Cathy, Bill Sipes, and Leon Sipes.
Three brothers, Paul Sipes, Roger Sipes, and Michael Sipes, and a sister, Rita Boatwright, also preceded him in death.
Services are 4-8 p.m. Oct. 25 in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E. Greyhound Pass.
