Walker T. Sharp died Thursday at the age of 91.

Born Jan. 10, 1921, in Hickory, N.C., he was the son of John Oliver and Anna Jarrett Sharp. He married Betty Jean Rash on June 14, 1947, in Speedway Christian Church. She died Jan. 25, 2012.

Mr. Sharp was in the first graduating class of Speedway High School. He was a farmer in the Lizton area for many years. His memberships included the Lizton Lions Club and Speedway Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, John Walker (Rosemary) Sharp; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Sharp; a son-in-law, Steve Brunes; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A son, Paul Alan Sharp, and a daughter, Kathryn Diane Brunes, also preceded him in death.

Services are 3 p.m. Oct. 27 in David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro, with visitation there noon until service time. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery, Lizton.

Memorials may be made to the Lizton Lions Club, P.O. Box 81, Lizton, IN 46149.
