Robert Samuel Graham of Coatesville died Tuesday at Danville Regional Rehab. He was 88.
Born Aug. 17, 1925, in Paris, Ill., he was the son of the late Stuart and Sarah (Richardson) Graham. He married Ellen Hancock on Dec. 8, 1951, in Marshall, Ind., and she survives.
Mr. Graham was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 29, 1943, to April 19, 1946, then in the Navy Reserves. He served on the LST 631 in the Pacific Arena.
He worked at Allison Transmission from April 23, 1951, until his retirement June 3, 1982. He was a former member of Eagledale Baptist Church and a current member of Grace Baptist Church of Coatesville.
Also surviving are two children, Michael (Julie) Graham of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sandra (Mark) Roberts of Danville; six grandchildren, Wendy Ward, Lori Graham, Jenny Nordstrom, Samuel Roberts, Angela Zook, and Tony Roberts; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Graham, and an uncle, Ora Richardson.
Services are noon central time Oct. 12 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris. Burial will follow in Embarrass Cemetery near Redmon, Ill. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Oct. 12 at Templeton Funeral Home.
