Donald Earl Skinner of Clayton died March 23. He was 86.
Born May 12, 1927, he was the son of Archie and Helen (Carhill) Skinner. He was raised by Merle Robinson after his father’s death. He Married Barbara Truax on Dec. 23, 1950 and she survives.
Mr. Skinner graduated from Perry High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for Sears and Roebuck Company for 27 years beginning in the warehouse and worked in sales. He worked at Eagledale Plaza and at Lafayette Square Mall in Indianapolis retiring in 1983.
He was an active member of Clayton Christian Church for more than 30 years. He was also a member of Belleville Masonic Lodge 65 F & AM.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Callie (Robert) Marksbary of Lafayette; sons Rick (Sherry) Skinner of Clayton and Rob (Renee) Skinner of Clayton; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 28 in the Clayton Church. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. March 27 in the church.
