Robert Daniel Goodhart died Sunday at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil. He was 84.
Born June 14, 1928, in Danville, Ill., he was a son of the late Amos and Edna Goodhart.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as an air traffic controller at Hulman Field in Terre Haute. After retirement, he enjoyed attending auctions and sales, and founded Reliable Drill Grinding.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Edith Goodhart; sons Robert Daniel (Pat) Goodhart Jr., Ron Goodhart, Richard Goodhart, and Russ (Julia) Goodhart; daughters Mary Elizabeth Stanley, Barbara (Jeff) Bennett, Connie (Jim) Yarber, Paula (Dennis) Sutton, Laura (Gary) Tilson, and Donna (Tim) Miller; a sister, Martha Lou (Donald) Bosma; grandchildren Kevin and Brian Stanley, Dan Goodhart, Aura Lee Goodhart, Amanda, Nick, and Becca Sutton, James and Jake Goodhart, Andrew and Rachel Tilson, Hannah, Bailee and Noah Miller, and Justin, Quinten, Kai, Liam, Mattias Goodhart.
Preceding him in death was a brother, John Goodhart.
Funeral mass is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Annuciation Catholic Church in Brazil. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Moore Funeral Home in Brazil.
