Sophia Klaire Alexander

Sophia Klaire Alexander died Thursday.

Born Sept. 7, 2011, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of Stephanie Grace Leavitt and R. Ryan Alexander.

Her life included a multiple organ transplant in May 2012, but more important, a life that was filled with love, hope, and joy to all.

Additional survivors include siblings Hannah Rae and Marcus Indiana Alexander; grandparents Robert E. and Mary C. Alexander, Sonja and Joe Thomas, Kathryn Hale Fawkes, Steven D. Fawkes, and Wally Leavitt; great-grandparents Josephine Alexander, Dorothy Marshall and Roger and Barbara Hale; aunts Stephanie and Brittany Thomas and Tricia Leavitt; and uncles Nathan Thomas, Josh and Jason West, and Paul Leavitt.

A celebration of Sophie’s life will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Blanton House, 625 N. Washington St., Danville.

Memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Foundation or Sophie Alexander’s Grace Fund.

Baker Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
