Florence Lucille (Money) Gossett Jackson of Danville died Friday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 87.

Born Jan. 25, 1925, in Center Township (Hendricks County), she was a daughter of Porter L. and Letha J. (Schmidt) Money. She married Jim Gossett in 1946, and he died in '75. She married Jim "J.J." Jackson in 1977, and he died in 2005.

Mrs. Jackson graduated from Danville High School in 1946 and attended Indiana University for a year. She worked for the West Lafayette City hall from 1970 to '73. She then worked as a secretary in the Purdue University Purchasing Department from 1973 to '82.

She was a member of Danville Christian Church and the Extension Homemakers Club.

Survivors include children Kathy A. Hitchcock and husband Eugene of Danville, James L. Gossett and wife Marcia of Marshalltown, Iowa, Karen S. Tarsan and husband Jerry of Brownsburg, and Sally J. Knight and husband Don of Nashville, Ind.; step-children Steven Jackson and wife Rita of Lafayette, Joyce Stovall and husband Rex of Massachusetts, and Douglas Jackson and wife Gail of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Marjorie Miles of Danville and Carolyn Apple of Avon; and a brother, Russell Money of Lee's Summit, Mo.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home in Danville. Interment will follow at Danville South Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
