James K. Rhodes

James K. Rhodes of Poland died Dec. 28 in IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was 75.

Born July 15, 1937, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Cecil H. and Mary Edna (Sevedge) Rhodes. He married Shirley A. (Buzni) Rhodes. She survives.

Mr. Rhodes retired from FedEx as an airline mechanic. He was a Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean War.

Also surviving are his children, Tammy Padgett, Gayle Romack, Emily DeWeese, and Jeff Rhodes; stepchildren, Mitzi Brummett and Melissa Henderson; a brother, John Rhodes; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ebby Rhodes and Arvin Rhodes.

Services are 2 p.m. Jan. 4 in Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with visitation there for two hours prior to services. Interment will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.
