Dorothy J. Wittorff of Plainfield and formerly of Charlotte, Fla., died Feb. 3 in Wellbrooke of Avon. She was 86.
Born March 11, 1927, in Mooresville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Augusta Warren. She married Vernon Rahm and Dale Wittorff. They both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wittorff was a member of Plainfield Church. She worked for Wright Patterson Field Command in communications during World War II. She was a volunteer and supporter of the USO.
She was a secretary for Public Service of Indiana and retired from Herald Life Insurance Company. She was also an avid Indiana University and Indianapolis Colts fan. She was fondly referred to as BamDot.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Rahm of Plainfield, Linda (Dr. John) Jones of Loudon, Tenn., Robert (Cindy) Rahm of Indianapolis, and Terry Rahm of Oakridge, Tenn.; grandson, Ryan (Elizabeth) Warren of Indianapolis; three great grandchildren, Elijah (EB), Claire, and George Warren; siblings, JR (Marge) Warren of Brownsburg, Connie (Ivan) Farrell of Stephenville, Texas, and Mildred Hammond of Plainfield; step children, Jon Wittorff of Ocala, Fla., and Judy Meunièr of Ecuador.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 in Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road. A private entombment will be held Feb. 8 in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until time of service in the church.
