Emily “Dean” Setser of Danville died Sept. 29. She was 87.
Born Jan. 29, 1925, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late James and Hazel Vanice Ward. She married Paul Setser and he died in 2009.
Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Setser worked as a secretary at General Motors. While raising her children she taught reading at Center Grove Elementary Schools and worked in the Danville High School library.
She was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading and sewing.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Dean (Laurel) Setser; grandchildren Dane Thomas and Avery Isabel Setser; and sisters Betty Wilson, Dony Keffer, Rosemarie Halloway, and Beverly High.
Preceding her in death were a son, Paul Carey Setser, and a brother, Larry Ward.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Danville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Danville South Cemetery.
Calling is from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Danville United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Danville Public Library.
