David W. Engel

David W. Engel of Brownsburg died Thursday. He was 78.

Mr. Engel served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to ‘59. He worked as an X-ray technician for Allison’s Plant 5, retiring in 1992, and was a member of the UAW.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Engel; children Jan Gentry and Kevin Engel; a brother, Bryan Engel; a granddaughter, Angela Gentry.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Entombment will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
