Kathryn R. Lehmann

Kathryn R. Lehmann died Wednesday at The Hearth at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne. She was 86.

Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Henry County, Iowa, she was a daughter of Harry Reschly and Fannie (Conrad) Reschly. She married John Roger Lehmann on June 17, 1956, and he died May 27, 2003.

Mrs. Lehmann was a graduate of Goshen College, where she earned a teaching degree. She taught elementary school in Iowa, Texas, Illinois, and Ohio. She retired in 1987 to Brownsburg, where she and her late husband John served in many local church ministries.

She had been a resident at The Hearth at Sycamore Village since December of 2012. Before that, she spent six years at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, where she was a member of the Winona Lake Literary Club and the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.

Survivors include sons Joseph Lehmann and wife Donna of Warsaw, and John Mark Lehmann and wife Susan of Forest, Va.; a daughter, Alene Enderle of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Philip, Lindsay, Gail, and Andrew Lehmann; and Alex, Jonathan, and Katy Enderle; brothers Marion Reschly and wife Opal of Crawfordsville, Iowa, Ray Reschly and wife Wava of Kalona, Iowa, and Vernon Reschly and wife Laura of Nowata, Okla.; and a sister, Elsie Burkholder and husband Stanley of Washington, Iowa.

Preceding her in death was a daughter-in-law, Karyn Lehmann; brothers Willard, Orlin, and Ben Reschly; and a sister, Vera Buchanon.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with the Rev. Bruce Barlow officiating. A graveside service is 1 p.m. Sunday at Brownsburg Cemetery.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
