Elizabeth N. Crump of New Carlisle died Monday at IU Health LaPorte. She was 97.

Born Nov. 2, 1915, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Bertha (Barnes) Williams. She had lived in New Carlisle since 2005, coming from Indianapolis.

Mrs. Crump graduated from Manuel High School in Indianapolis. She retired from Coleman Hospital. She had also been employed with Riley Hospital.

She had been an active member of Avon Baptist Church and was currently a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Tracy (Linda) Crump of New Carlisle; grandchildren Steven Crump, Wendy Heady, Tracy (Ronda) Crump Jr., Clint (Yasmine Khalil) Crump, and RaLynne Newcomb; great-grandchildren Ren Crump, Rylan Crump, Landi Newcomb, and Kylie Crump; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Williams of New Mexico.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bryant D. Crump; a son, William M. Crump; and a brother, Merle Williams.

Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle.
