Diane M. (Sweeney) McHugh died Dec. 21 at her Gilbertsville, Pa., home. She was 54.

Born in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Margaret Wade and Hugh A. Sweeney. She married Ted McHugh, who survives.

Mrs. McHugh graduated from Marian College in 1973. She worked nine years at Sanatoga Thriftway Supermarket.

She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Bally, Pa. She enjoyed crafts, reading, decorating, and cooking.

Additional survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Cary J. and Sarah (Kinder) McHugh of Wallingford, Pa., Jeffrey S. and Jennifer (White) McHugh of Pottstown, Pa., and Jason W. and Stacy (Mayberry) McHugh of Pottstown; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon M. and Dean Wooden of Coatesville, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Diane Sweeney of Greenwood; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Gary Dial of Indianapolis; Deb and William Egbert of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Peg and Richard Kett of Ann Arbor, Mich.; grandchildren Ethan W. and Payton L. McHugh, both of Pottstown, and Kylie Marie Wooden of Coatesville; and stepgrandchildren Chelsea, Rachel, and Calvin Wooden.

Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, Pa., with the Rev. Edward J. Coyle officiating. Interment will follow at Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 26 at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, Pa.
