Charles (Charlie) Walter McNabb

Charles (Charlie) Walter McNabb died Oct. 28. He was 79 and had formerly resided in Danville.

Born July 25, 1930, in Newport, Tenn., he was a son of the late Ben and Lucy Propst McNabb.

Mr. McNabb retired from GM Truck and Bus in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; three stepdaughters; a brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Edyth McNabb; a sister, Irene Wiley; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles McNabb Jr., John and Rebecca McNabb, and Patrick and Jennifer McNabb; three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Preceding him in death were brothers George McNabb and Jim McNabb, and sisters Elizabeth Grimsley and Helen McNabb.

An open house in honor of his life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Phi Delta Kappa House, 101 Phi Delta Kappa Drive, Danville.
