Mildred F. Menefee Lovell of Plainfield

March 25, 2008

Mildred F. Menefee Lovell of Plainfield died Tuesday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 81.

Born in New Brunswick, she was a daughter of Oscar and Maggie Ragsdale Lovell. She was the widow of M. Russell Lovell, whom she married March 29, 1947, in Franklin.

Mrs. Lovell retired in 1995 after working 32 years as a branch manager for Bank One.

She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church and Delta Alpha Gamma sorority. She was also a fan of Plainfield High School.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Penny Lovell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Gene Servies and Jeanette and Joe Moran; a granddaughter, Stephanie Lovell Wheeler and husband Kurt; and a great-grandson, Jackson Lovell Wheeler.

Preceding her in death were a son, James Wayne Lovell, and a brother, Lowell Gene Menefee.

Services are noon Friday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will follow at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton.

Calling at the funeral home is for two hours prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway W. Drive, Suite 114, Indianapolis, IN 46250 or to the Jim Lovell Memorial Foundation, in care of the Hendricks County Community Foundation, 5055 East Main St., Avon, IN 46123.
