BHS graduate gets engineer training


— U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Chelse M. Kile of Brownsburg recently graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer course at Marine Engineer School at the Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

She is the daughter of Theresa M. and Michael A. Kile of Brownsburg.

During the five-week course, Kile received instruction in the fundamentals of engineering support for combat units, including the procedures for building and repairing bridges, roads and field fortifications. She also received training on demolition concepts, land mine warfare, and camouflage techniques.

Kile is a 2010 graduate of Brownsburg High School. She joined the Marine Corps in February.
