AVON — Friends and neighbors of Edna Barker are invited to share in the celebration of her 95th birthday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan 23 during a party at her home at The Village of Avon, 75 S. C.R. 400.
She was born Jan. 28, 1916, to Grace and Wade Robb in Wentworth, Mo., during a blizzard.
Mrs. Barker worked as a mother, homemaker, and lock assembler during World War II and later at a Plainfield car dealership. She is a long-time member of the Plainfield Christian Church.
Mrs. Barker was married to the late Warren Barker in 1954. They resided in Andrews Manor in Avon with their children.
