Helen Snepp will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 12 with family and friends.
Mrs. Snepp has resided in Plainfield for 76 years and has been in her current home for the past 70 years.
She is the mother of Jean Pryor of Plainfield and the grandmother of Debbie Tidler of Denver, Colo., and Dana Adachi of Chicago, Ill. She also has four grandchildren.
Mrs. Snepp is the daughter of the late Herb Harrison and the sister of the late Howard Harrison, who were co-owners of the Shell station on U.S. 40 in Plainfield from the 1930s until it was sold and replaced. Sal’s Pizza is currently in that location.
Mrs. Snepp has been a member of Plainfield Quaker Church for most of her adult life. She retired from PSI Energy after 15 years of service.
