AVON — The Avon Police Department responded to an armed robbery Monday morning at Indiana Member's Credit Union, 10438 E. U.S. 36.
The robbery reportedly occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Investigators report two black males armed with handguns entered the business and demanded money be put into a bag. The suspects then ordered the one customer present at the time and six employees to the floor, who were then instructed to count to 100 before they could get up.
Both suspects were described as wearing black jackets. One of the suspects was reportedly wearing a black ski mask with an orange cap and is approximately 5-foot-10. No direction of travel and no vehicle description were given after they left the bank. There were no reported injuries.
Detectives are currently continuing their investigation. Several Avon police officers and Hendricks County deputies have been searching the area for suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the Avon Police Department 272-4485.
