Avon family seeking to adopt Ukrainian orphans

Hendricks County Flyer

---- — Carl and Cathy Lucas are in the process of adopting three teen orphans from the Ukraine.

They hosted two siblings, Lina and Denys, this summer (read the article online at flyergroup.com/local/x2002148409/Avon-family-to-host-orphans) and also are attempting to adopt another boy, Mykola, who someone else hosted.

The Lucas’ immediate need is to raise $4,820 in the next two weeks to submit a home study to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and get their dossier prepared and sent to the Ukraine for approval.

Nearly $40,000 is needed within the next six months in order to bring the orphans here.
