Detectives with IMPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested 31-year-old Christopher West, of Indianapolis, without incident, on an outstanding arrest warrant for murder on Tuesday.
According to the IMPD, detectives continued to track several promising leads and worked to establish suspect information. After identifying suspect information, and conferring with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, detectives sought and were granted two separate arrest warrants from the Marion County Superior Courts.
Suspect West was charged with murder, robbery, criminal confinement, and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon — all listed charges are classified as felonies.
Also charged with Murder, Robbery and Criminal Confinement is 36-year-old Michelle Williams, of Indianapolis. Williams was served the current warrant at the Marion County Jail where she was being held on an unrelated warrant. Both suspects are currently being held in the Marion County Jail with no bonds.
The victim, 35-year-old David Williamson of Indianapolis died at Wishard Memorial Hospital as a result of injuries he sustained after he was shot on Oct. 19. Detectives believe the motive for this incident was robbery.
