INDIANAPOLIS — The search is on for the new leader of the Indy Chamber and the search committee is optimistic that the best candidate will be found in Central Indiana.
The new leader will replace outgoing CEO Scott Miller, who announced his resignation last month. Miller's last day at the Indy Chamber is May 31.
“We are optimistic that our own region can produce good candidates and we’re eager to move forward,” said Greg Fennig of IPL, chair of the search committee. “This is an open search and there are no preferred candidates at this time.”
The search has already started and applications will be accepted until May 24. The committee’s goal is to complete the process by the end of July.
Joining Fennig on the search committee are Mike Bosway of City Securities Corporation; Carey Lykins of Citizens Energy Group; Rob Hillman of Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield; Jamie Merisotis of Lumina Foundation; Ersal Ozdemir of Keystone; Melissa Profitt Reese of Ice Miller; Rafael Sanchez, Bingham Greenebaum Doll; Zachary Scott, UPS; John Thompson, First Electric Supply and Indy Chamber Board chair; Ryan Vaughn, chief of staff, office of Mayor Greg Ballard; and Jean Wojtowicz, Cambridge Capital Management.
Fennig said the top characteristics for the position are demonstrated leadership, strategic vision, ability to implement plans, relationship building, and management. Interested candidates may submit their resumes to IndyChamber@aes.com. A job description is available online at http://bit.ly/NSDshQ.
