— With spring fast approaching, the swimsuits, shorts, and tank tops will soon be making their way out of closets.
And if that’s not enough motivation to get in shape, then Fit Happens in Hendricks County may have the solution for that extra push.
Residents of Hendricks County are invited to participate in the very first Town Loser Transformation Contest.
Participants can follow their own fitness and nutrition plan during the contest. Winners will be chosen based on their total percentage of weight lost, overall body transformation, and their transformation story. There will be two Grand Prize Winners — one male and one female — and two runner-up winners, also one male and one female, that will win more than $1,500 in cash and prizes.
During the duration of the 90-day contest, participants will have the chance to win giveaways, cash, and prizes from local businesses. They will also receive fitness and nutrition tips from fitness professionals in Hendricks County. To celebrate all of the hard work, there will be an after party at CrossFit Unbreakable in Plainfield.
“The goal of this program is to promote healthy and active lifestyles within the Hendricks County community,” Erin Schwein, owner of Erin Schwein Fitness and founder of Fit Happens in Hendricks County, said in a press release.
While the official start date of the contest isn’t until May 6, registration is now open. Registration is $35 and the first 50 registrants will be entered to win a $50 grocery gift card.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the development of the B&O Trail and the Vic and Sue Overman Legacy Fund.
