Do317.com has recently launched its redesigned website. The new responsive site design enhances the user experience while allowing the company to create new content distribution channels through third party partners.
The Indianapolis-based site has attracted more than 50,000 registered users since launching in November of 2011.
“Do317 is more than an event website. We’ve built a subculture around Indy’s most active young adults and their favorite events,” co-owner Josh Bake said in a press release. “This new design puts more focus on enhancing the user experience while optimizing the site for easy viewing across all devices.”
Do317 debuted in November of 2011 as the fourth website in a network of locally owned media brands powered by DoStuff Media, an Austin, Texas, based company. The network has since expanded to include eight cities with five more launching by the end of 2013.
Not only does the site tout a new look, its responsive design is on the cutting edge of web development that is optimized for mobile viewing.
“Now that 35 percent of our traffic is mobile, it was really important to us to deliver the best possible experience on phones and tablets (while keeping the desktop experience great),” explained Scott Owens, CEO/Co-Founder of DoStuff Media. “We all spend too much time on our devices, so we did everything we could to make the site faster and make it easier to get to the information our users want. We want people to visit Do317 quickly, and then get out into the real world - where the real magic happens.”
