BROWNSBURG — Police here are investigating a string of burglaries off of County Road 300.
Police say the burglaries have all taken place during the middle of the day, when the residents are at work.
FOX59 reported that police said the burglars would go through personal property in the bedrooms of the homes. In one of the homes, a walk-in closet was ransacked. They also reported that according to police reports, some of the items taken include jewelry, computers, and Vicodin, a prescription drug.
According to the FOX59 report, the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the burglars had also taken a .22 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun with two magazines from one home.
Doug Shelton, one of the victims, spoke to FOX59 about what he found when he returned home.
”It had been pried open, so obviously forced entry, and the locks were all over the living room floor,” Shelton said.
There are no suspect at this time.
